something about me

Who am I
Since 2003 I have dedicated myself to studying the behavior of dogs and their intra- and inter-specific relationships, according to the canons of Zoo-Anthropology. I am a Dog Instructor with extensive experience in various fields; today I have chosen to focus on ethological and behavioral aspects, from pre-adoption counseling, to coaching in the growth and integration into the family up to the resolution of problematic dog behaviors. The role of the Human-Dog Relationship Facilitator is to provide the dog's family with the support, information and assistance to reach an understanding of canine animality and build relationships based on mutual respect and sharing of group life, covering the role of cultural and linguistic mediator. The Facilitator informs about the species-specific characteristics of the Canis Familiaris (social organization, communication, collaborative activities, needs, etc.), explores already known topics and proposes a new look at the ways of relating with dogs, also thanks to the recent updates emerging from scientific research.

The Filosophy

The principles that guide my personal and professional life are based on the Antispeciesist philosophy, according to which acting in the world takes place by rejecting all forms of oppression and exploitation; the ideology of domination is replaced by a vision of equity and respect for all forms of Otherness (the different from oneself) with which to establish relationships of trust and collaboration, maintaining and enhancing the peculiarities of each individual involved.

My Teachers

I had the opportunity to follow and learn from many people, both during my learning path as well as during continuous training; however, those I consider Masters are all the dogs with whom I have shared my life (Brando, Tessa, Nure, Sole, Nio) and those I have had the privilege of attending with their families or during competitive activity, in kennels or in specializations such as Water Rescue or Surface Research. A special thanks to all of them who initiated me to a special experience. The path taken just to understand them has proved to be a long road that continues to enrich me.

I currently live with Sole and Nio, both adopted by adults and coming from “street” situations. The main quality that makes each of them identifiable in an absolutely univocal way is for Sole an indestructible moral code, learned from his herd when she lived in the countryside following a flock of sheeps, while for Nio a diplomatic art with which he faces and manages any intraspecific interaction.
